Meet the
sister & brother
behind the vision of COR

  • Based in Asheville, Nc. Kaorin is the brains and craft behind the website design and written word here at Cor. Kaorin’s love for Cacao, heart centered ways of being, and social projects are infused into every aspect of this vision.

    A bit about Kaorin:
She is the only sister… raised alongside her 5 brothers. This is one of the greatest gifts that has informed Kaorin’s walk through this world. As she was able to love and be loved by 5 totally different personalities. Kaorin also attributes being the only girl in the family to her level of sensitivity and empathy that she carries through her life. As a highly sensitive human who loves with such a deep well, she has fostered this into her creative work and her desire to nurture others into their best self.

  • Kaorin first came into relationship with Cacao in 2017, when she was living in Austin, Texas with her brother Jeremy. She attended a Cacao ceremony held by Jyl Kutsche… and experienced such a deep and profound connection to the plant and her medicine. From there Kaorin felt such a pull to exploring more about Cacao and its ability to open the heart and connect us deeply to our sensory experience and emotional world.

Kaorin moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she attended massage school alongside herbal medicine classes. For 6 months Kaorin drank Cacao every day with the intention of connecting to the plant and the spirit, and learning what she had to teach. Kaorin attributes the beginning of her creative career/art to Cacao and its ability to connect her to herself and her heart. While in New Mexico, Kaorin fell in love with a Cacao shop and became close friends and found a small mentorship under Mark Sciscenti, a Cacao ally and ceremonialist. Kaorin still carries the Cacao Beans that Mark handed to her that year as a reminder of her walk with this medicine and the calling placed on her heart.

If you know Kaorin well, you know that many of her clothes are stained with Cacao… as well as the seats of her car… with the accidental spills, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Kaorin now offers Cacao ceremonies in many different forms. She offers them for initiatory experiences, like pre-wedding celebrations and baby blessings. As well as during her psychedelic guiding sessions. Kaorin works with Cacao as a form of her own practice and devotion to the plant medicine as well.

  • Based in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Jeremy is the heart, brains and craft behind the Video and photography here at Cor. He is also the relationship builder between the farms Cor partners with. His creative eye for his craft and his wide open heart allowed him to be led all around the world. First introduced to Cacao through his sister but later establishing his own relationship with Cacao, Jeremy infuses this into the mission of Cor.

A bit about Where Jeremy comes from: He is the oldest of 6 children, raised in Dayton, Ohio. ( 4 brothers and 1 sister). As an oldest brother he felt a duty placed on his life to become someone they could look up to. Although Jeremy faced lots of struggle as he broke down barriers and worked to undo systems he was placed into. He never lost his strive to become the person he felt he was meant to be. He attributes so much of his hard work and dedication to being an example for his siblings, to really believe in themselves and their fullest creative potential.

  • Jeremy was introduced to Cacao by Kaorin, as he opened his home to her in Austin Texas. He could see that her connection to this plant medicine was very meaningful, and could feel that there was a potent experience happening here.

7 years later Jeremy finds himself immersed in the culture of the Mayan peoples, in Guatemala. Letting his camera be his guide, he was asked to shoot video for a Cacao Organization, Cacao Source. As he listened to the Mayan people speak about Cacao, he felt himself opening to a new form of understanding why this plant was brought into his life. Working with Cacao intimately and learning deeply of the teachings of Cacao Jeremy’s heart broke open, and the Cacao now serves as a deeply imbedded plant ally for him.

Jeremy is a certified Cacao Facilitator through Cacao Source. And is continually building his connection to the plant, the people, and the land that allows for this plant medicine to be offered to you today.
